Earth is the only planet that has day and night. There are 24 hours in a day, and at the time the moon is rotating around earth as earth is orbiting around the sun.

The earth rotates around the sun and when the earth is rotating half of the earth is getting day and the other half is getting night. Every year is a full revolution. The earth axis is titled so both sides of earth get the same amount of sun and day.

Day and night happens when the earth is rotating around the sun and because the earth is titled it gives us half day and half night, and if the earth wasn’t titled we would have the same season all year long.

There are 24 hours in a day. There are 12 hours of day and 12 hours of night and all together makes 24. The reason we have day and night because we are orbiting around the sun and because that earth's axis is tilted.
