Analysing, Create, Evaluating

Analysing - Create - Evaluating
WALT: Analyze our information we got from the text. Create a image usings the information in the text. And using our Evaluating skills to form an Opinion.

- Create
So for our create task we had to create a book cover for our story we have gotten. This is what I came up with.
- Analysing
For this task we had to create a story map. We had to show our understanding of the characters, setting, problem, feelings, actions and conclusion in the story we've gotten.

- Evaluating
For this task we had to use our evaluating skills to form our own opinion about the 3 question we had gotten

Tsunami Poem!

Mighty Wave

The ground shakes rapidly,
a huge wave formed!
They combined together until a Tsunami was born.

It came like a broom sweeping away the houses,
Tearing down buildings peoples saying “Help me!”
Their Homes destroyed, Buildings crushed.
The sound of tumbling comes with a big crash.

Screams, cries!
Depressed, heartbroken,
The memories floated away, with nothing but madness.
Tears drop from sadness of their beloved.

People collapsed, prays to hear,
the terrifying wave was never to be heard.
buildings destroyed, food out of stock!

Lifeless bodies filled up the whole town.

Tsunami

How does Tsunamis Happen
WALA: How Tsunamis happen

Tsunamis are formed by Earthquakes, Landslides and Volcanic eruptions. It Is one of the most powerful Natural Disaster that can bring death to anyone, at anyplace and anytime.

Tsunamis are formed by Earthquakes that is generated in the subduction zone. This means when the two tectonic plates meet, and one of the plates go under the Earth’s mantle it is creating a Earthquake. For example, put your hands together but imagine them as the Earth’s crust, the line between your hands is the fault line and when you put one hand up, the tectonic plates are sliding against each other which is creating a Earthquake. The effect of this occurring in the ocean that will create a Tsunami.

An imported part of a Tsunami happening, is only when a specific Natural Disaster occurs. That means if a Earthquake, Landslide or a Volcanic eruption there is a possible chance of their being a Tsunami.Landslides can only make a Tsunami when the Landslide is moving rapidly and the mass of the Landslide goes into the ocean/water. Because the Landslide is moving rapidly so once it does go in the ocean it’s still moving rapidly, which is creating series of waves, that is forming a Tsunami. But if this did happen it would make a Tsunami but it also would Damage peoples cars and others, when it goes down to the ocean.

Tsunamis are very dangerous, they can wipe out villages in the matter of minutes. Tsunamis mostly happen in the Pacific Ocean because, their are many Earthquakes and others Natural Disasters that create a Tsunami. For example, because of the subduction zone along the ring of fire, ninety percent of Earthquakes occur on the ring of fire, and the ring or fire is the Pacific ocean basin which is mostly known as the ring of fire. Well hopely one of those Natural Disasters doesn’t happen or else our homes and our belonging will be destroyed.

Tsunamis are formed by Earthquakes which is generated in the subduction zone. Tsunamis mostly happened in the Pacific Ocean, but because of all the Earthquakes, Landslides and Volcanic Eruptions in the Pacific islands, it is  more lucky for a Tsunami to occur on one of those islands.

Cyclones

Reading Group Jigsaw

WALT: Summarise Information In A Text

Cyclones

A Cyclone is from when the sea water below, reaches 27 degrees celsius. The warm air above the ocean rises because of the light/heat from the sun. Which the cold air tries to replace the ocean water by creating a wind, which creates different Thunderstorms. These Thunderstorms combine they create a tropical storm, but the effect it does on people is. The wind is so strong, it can blow building down, People can get injured and cam also lose their lives, such as people becoming homeless because their houses can collapse. They can lose their belonging, and people can get blown away with peoples houses can collapse while people are inside.
