What I know about government.

What I know about government

WALA: What is government and what they do.

The NZ Government is called a democracy because they have a Parliament that consists of members that were elected by their voters.

Elections happen every 3 years in which NZ citizens over 18 are allowed to vote. They get 2 votes, in which one vote is for a Political Party and the other is to vote on who should represent their area. After the voting, the percentage of their votes goes towards how many seats they take up in parliament. They would have to have more than 5% of votes to have a seat in parliament, the more votes they get the more seats they take. For example, if they get 50 percent of the votes, they get 50 percent of the seats which their party gets 60 seats.

Do I think the voting system is fair?
I personally don't care at the moment, it isn't me to decide yet since i'm not at the age to vote. Either way i'm not old enough to even know how the system works or why it would affect me so do I believe the voting system is fair, probably. It's the people's vote whether or not they have a change in government and parliament, so you can say it's fair.

Coming back to school! 。✧♡

Coming back to school! 。✧♡

~WALT: Write a Blog Post~

On Monday I didn't go school because my parent's were worried about us not having mask's to wear as protection so we ended up going the next day.

I woke up at 6 and already was very tired, during lock down I would sleep til 9-10 am. Waking up at 6 was very tiring but I got up had a shower, did my hair and got changed into my school uniform. After that I grabbed my lunch and went to school. The first thing I noticed were that more people were wearing masks than before, and that there wasn't really much people at school. I went to tutor and we had to sit back in our own personal bubble.

Once tutor was over we went to math's and walking to the class, I noticed that people walking through the hallway, everyone was not social distancing because of the pretty small hall way that mostly everyone uses to get to their classes, so that auto manically was a way for Covid-19 to spread. Other than that classes were normal just like before when we came back from lock down.

~ During lock down ~

It was pretty boring in lock down, Since I didn't have a computer I couldn't do my work. But then I received my computer on the weekends so on the second week of lock down I was going to get my work done and join the classes until some personal matters happened so I had a break from my technology. So I really didn't do any work on lock down. So coming to school I can finally do some work.

Most of lock down I was mainly gaming for e sports and just doing my chores. Other than that lock down was very very very VERY boring. I had nothing to do other than play games with my friends.
